5 ninth

new york restaurant week has begun! i love doing this in austin but, my goodness, there's over 250 restaurants to choose from the nyc list! what is a girl to do?? so i left it to my friend, b.l., to choose and the first one was 5 ninth in the meatpacking district. 

this place is super cute! it's was snug, warm, and inviting. their menu was simple and delicious. i started w/ the arugula salad, pork cheeks, and the crumble. my dining companions, b.l., d.l, and k.l, had the pig tails, haddock, chocolate cake, and coconut panna cotta and of course, we all sampled each other's dishes. i would definitely go back to 5 ninth but probably for happy hour.
